Several important documents went home today. First, each student received a red Nate Mack folder. Inside are several documents that need to be signed and returned by parents. Including a form that will allow pictures of our class to be posted on this website. Please return those forms, along with the red folder, as soon as possible.
Students also have two homework assignments: reading for twenty minutes and completing a reading log (reading logs will be available online soon, but for now - look for a yellow paper copy), and filling their paper bag. Students are asked to place at least five items that represent themselves into their bag; students will share their objects with their classmates. Feel free to be creative!
Although math homework will not start until later in the week, students checked out a math book today. Students will complete some of their math homework assignments from this book. This book does NOT have to travel to and from school; students do not need this book at school, so it can stay at home. It's rather heavy, so please find a space for it at home so your child does not have to carry it in their backpack.
Students spent some time exploring their planner today - please ask to see it to view homework assignments and daily objectives. This planner is to come to school everyday. If the planner is signed by a parent a student can earn a Mack Dollar.
Open House will be held this Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30. I look forward to seeing you there!
Please check back for more updates. It
